Road
The length of Road in North Sumatera was 34,575.494 Km year 2010, State Road 2,098,080 Km, Provincial Road 2,752,410 Km and Regency/Municipality Road 29,725,004 Km.
Road Development Plan :
- Development of Medan – Binjai Toll Road (±16 Km) and Tanjung Morawa – Tebing Tinggi Junction Kuala Namu (±60 Km) Toll Road.
- Development of Lake Toba Outer Ring Road.
- Development of Beach Side Road.
- Development of Tanjung Morawa – Saribu Dolok – Tongging Road (±90 Km).
Railway Networks
The length of railway was 556,349 Km of which 480,699 Km was being operated with rail type configuration R – 25 (42.92%) R – 42 (35.52%) and R – 33 (21.56%).

- Belawan – Medan – Tebing Tinggi – Kisaran – Rantau Prapat
- Medan – Tebing Tinggi – Pematang Siantar
- Medan – Kisaran – Tanjung Balai

- Reopening of Railway Network of Besitang - Langsa – Lhokseumawe – Banda Aceh ±485 Km (to support the Trans Sumatera Railway Project Plan).

- National Strategic Regions : Medan, Binjai, Deli Serdang dan Karo (Mebidangro).
- Danau Toba Region.
- Bukit Barisan Highland Agropolitan Regions (9 Regencies/ Municipalities).
- Agromarinepolitan Regions (16 Regencies/Municipalities).

- Electricity demand - 1,070 MW
- Electricity Deficit - 100 – 150 MW
Additional Capacity Plan of Power Plants up to the year 2011 is 1,938.2 MW.
Gas
- Supply capacity - 36 mmscfd
- Demand - 54 mmscfd
- PLN (National Electricity Company) - 42 mmscfd
- PGN (National Gas Company) - 12 mmscfd
- Deficit - 18 mmscfd
- Additional Demand - 104 mmscfd

Long-Term - Accelerate Gas Production of Tac Glagah Kambuna. Current status in in the preparation of selling gas.
