Indonesia will tighten the implementation of SNI standard requirements to prevent the inflow of cheap and low quality products following the implementation of the Asean-China Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA), a minister said.

19/02/2010   :  Indonesia strengthens consumer protection
Trade Minister Mari Elka Pangestu said on Tuesday a directorate general for consumer protection and standardization would be set up at her ministry.
"We are still waiting for the state apparatus minister`s approval," she told newsmen on the sidelines of her inspection to a warehouse for withdrawn imported energy-saving lamps here....
